Competition Details & Regulations
Eligibility:
The Kids KOG 5km Parent-Child Run accepts individual registration and is a mandatory event for the KOG category. It is open to participants in good health who meet the specified conditions (in accordance with Article 5 of the General Rules).
Participant Acknowledgment:
Participants must understand and abide by the following rules, acknowledging the distance and risks of the event, and having sufficient preparation to:
# Know how to face and cope with difficulties caused by altitude/elevation without external assistance, such as low temperatures, strong winds, thunderstorms, heavy fog, rain, and snow.
# Know how to cope with physiological and psychological issues that may arise from extreme fatigue, gastrointestinal problems, muscle and joint pain, and other ailments.
Health Restrictions (Who Cannot Participate):
Individuals with the following conditions are prohibited from participating:
- Congenital or rheumatic heart disease.
- Hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases.
- Myocarditis and other heart diseases.
- Coronary artery disease and severe arrhythmia.
- Diabetes with excessively high or low blood sugar.
- Those who have had a cold within two weeks prior to the race.
- Pregnant women.
- Individuals with other diseases unsuitable for sports.
This event follows the latest road running competition rules and regulations approved by the Chinese Athletics Association.
Course & Timing:
1. Start: Xiwuqi Cultural Square,Kids KOG Start Zone.
2. Timing: Electronic chip timing. The top six are timed by gun time; all others by net time. Participants must pass all chip checkpoints; otherwise, no result will be recorded.
Participation Requirements:
1. Collect the bib number and race pack before the race. Wear them correctly throughout the event; do not cover/alter them.
2. For the 5km Parent-Child Run, a guardian must register for the same event and accompany the child throughout the entire race, assuming full responsibility for safety and signing the participation declaration.
3. A health certificate (including an ECG) must be submitted, and accident insurance must be purchased additionally.
4. Running is allowed using leg power only. Mechanical assistance and obstructing others are prohibited.
5. Follow the course markings. Taking shortcuts will result in disqualification.
6. Bag drop is available at designated points before the race. Write your bib number clearly on the sticker attached to your bag. It is recommended to complete bag drop before 6:40 AM.
Time & Supply:
1. A cut-off point will be set at the finish line for the 5km Family Run.
2. Water supply stations will be set up along the course.
Environment & Safety:
1. Trash may only be discarded in designated areas. Littering will result in disqualification.
2. The course is open with no shelter. Please prepare for sun and wind protection. In case of emergency, call the rescue number on the bib.
3. In the event of natural disasters, accidents, public health incidents, social security incidents, or other force majeure that may affect the event or participant safety, the Race Director and Organizing Committee (OC) reserve the right to shorten the race distance or even cancel the event.
