Library 3D Printing Service Fee Policy Notice (Effective March 1, 2025)
The library will officially implement a fee-based management system for 3D printing services starting March 1, 2025. Detailed implementation rules are as follows:

I. Free Usage Allowance
Each patron will receive an annual free printing quota of 60 grams (milliliters) per academic year to support academic research and innovation practices.

II. Charges for Excess Usage
When usage exceeds the free quota, material costs will be charged according to the following standards:

After submitting printing requests, FabLab staff will estimate material consumption and notify patrons via email. Excess usage fees will be settled through the library management system.

Due to limited facilities, our turnaround time for prints may take long. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Please submit a zip file that includes both STL and 3D model file. Each student ID can submit only one object each semester.

Material & Color
Multi-color requirement
If multi-color printing is needed, please connect us via mail to offer the details.
Accuracy
Layer thickness determines the vertical resolution (Z-axis) in 3D printing: thinner layers (e.g., 0.05mm) increase the number of layers, resulting in higher vertical accuracy and smoother surfaces, but significantly extend printing time; thicker layers (e.g., 0.2mm) speed up printing but reduce detail resolution and leave visible layer lines.
